Charnwood supports 1,500 apprenticeship grants for employers

Apprenticeship grants of £1,500 have been provided to encourage employers to recruit 16 to 24 year olds to new apprenticeship positions.

Which employers can benefit from these Age Grants?

These grants are available to small and medium size employers (ie those employers with up to 1000 employees).

When will these Age Grants be available?

The AGE 16 to 24 is available now for employers who are able to offer a job opportunity to a young person (to a maximum of 10).

How will employers receive the grant?

Charnwood will process your payment of £1,500 when the apprentice reaches week 13 of their apprenticeship programme.

Does my business qualify?

If you meet all of the criteria below then your business could received £1,500 for each apprentice you employ.

- Employ up to 1000 employees

- You are employing an apprentice for the first time in the past twelve months

- You agree to pay the minimum apprenticeship wage
